Hello, we’re the Lai Family! At Chajia Co., "Chajia" means tea family - a reminder that our story began in our family kitchen, tea was a way to bring us together. Growing up in Malaysia, our Grandpa always had a pot of tea brewing and family members and neighbours would often drop by - over cups of tea, we shared stories, laughed and bonded.
Inspired by those moments of connection, we created Chajia Co. to make artisan tea accessible while supporting small, passionate tea businesses. In a market that is often dominated by mass-produced, commercialised options, we want to build a vibrant, sustainable ecosystem where independent tea producers and their communities can thrive.
